Open-source Claude Design alternative 'Open Design' launches with 142 design systems

An open-source, local-first AI design tool called Open Design, positioned as an alternative to Anthropic's Claude Design, has been released on GitHub. It generates web, mobile, slide and video outputs from prompts, and while it initially shipped with 71 design systems, that number has now grown to more than 142.
