On May 19, 2026, Google released the stable 1.0 version of "Chrome DevTools for agents" (chrome-devtools-mcp), letting AI coding agents connect to a live Chrome browser to run debugging and audits. Agents such as Antigravity, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and Copilot can now access the DOM, console, network and performance of a running page directly, without a developer manually opening DevTools.
