The Gray Foundation, run by Blackstone President and COO Jon Gray and his wife Mindy, has committed a new $35 million to AI-driven research aimed at preventing, detecting and intervening in BRCA-related cancers. According to Bloomberg, the grant brings the foundation's cumulative giving to BRCA-related cancer research to $235 million since 2012 (Bloomberg). Just as Gray has steered his firm toward greater AI investment, his science philanthropy is taking the same turn.
