A team led by CopilotKit developer Atai Barkai released OpenTag in late June 2026, an open-source project that reproduces Anthropic's "Claude Tag" while supporting any AI model. GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and local models can all be summoned as teammates via @mentions in Slack.
