On June 30, 2026, Google DeepMind unveiled Nano Banana 2 Lite, its fastest and cheapest image-generation model, and Gemini Omni Flash for high-quality video generation and conversational editing, making both available across the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Vertex AI and the Gemini app. In a post on its blog The Keyword, the company framed both models as workhorses meant to scale developers' work from experimentation to production pipelines.
