A developer has converted Teenage Engineering's TP-7 field recorder into a dedicated controller for Anthropic's coding tool Claude Code, with a demo video released in late June 2026 drawing attention among developers. The build, made by a developer based in Shenzhen, lets Claude Code be operated entirely through the TP-7's physical buttons, dial, display and built-in microphone, without a keyboard or mouse. It began as a weekend side project and is slated to be open-sourced once complete.
