On June 30, 2026, Anthropic released Claude Science in beta, a research workbench that runs on existing Claude models rather than a new AI model. It unifies literature analysis, multi-step analysis, figure and manuscript drafting, and peer-review responses in a single environment, connecting to more than 60 scientific databases and toolkits and producing reproducible, auditable artifacts (Anthropic announcement).
